Ritter: Forget that ‘no new taxes’ thing

by | Aug 20, 2009 | Blog, Notes

According to a report by Tim Hoover in the Denver Post, the Tax Ritter is already in the kitchen serving up waffles:

Looking at tax breaks, he said, “will be part of the conversation.”

Sometimes liberal Democrats don’t seem to understand that eliminating a tax deduction or credit is just as much a tax hike as raising tax rates or instituting a brand-spanking-new tax.

As noted here just last week, Ritter and Colorado’s other big spenders weren’t actually changing their ways, just their words — and words can change at a moment’s notice.
